Ancient Ziggurat

We had sighted the top of the pyramid a few kilometers ago, but then we had lost sight of it, hidden by the tall trees of this forest.

But here it is now in sight!

It looks really old and abandoned for decades, yet the road that leads us to the ziggurat seems to have been used recently.
